Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3063516/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1) isn’t the funniest movie I have seen in awhile. It’s kind of a rip off of the other Jackass movies in the sense that Johnny Knoxville (Irving Zisman) tries to do the same old stuff like in the other Jackass movies. So if you have seen any or know the premise of the other Jackass movies, then you pretty much know what the Bad Grandpa is about. If you have seen any of the trailers, then you pretty much have seen the movie… or at least the parts worth watching.
There isn’t much of a plot in the movie in the traditional Hollywood sense. Sure, Johnny Knoxville’s has something to accomplish (I don’t to spoil it for those who want to watch it), but it seems like they just wanted to make a more plot-driven version of Jackass (after all – it was made with some of the same people that were behind Jackass). In this sense, I found it kind of like Napoleon Dyminate in the sense that you don’t really know what the plot of the movie is or why certain things are happening and you end up chuckling to yourself because of the stupidity of the situation.
Overall, I don’t recommend watching this movie unless you are with some friends and you want to make fun of a movie like Mystery Science Theater 3000.
